When
you-
feel
Alone:
How long will you forget me, Lord? Forever?
How long will you hide from me?
How long must I worry
and feel sad in my heart all day?
How long will my enemy win over me?
Lord, look at me.
Answer me, my God;
tell me, or I will die.
Otherwise my enemy will say, "I have won!"
Those against me will rejoice that I've been defeated.
I trust in your love. My
heart is happy because you saved me.
I sing to the Lord
because he has taken care of me.
Psalm 13: 1-6 NCV
feel
Anxious:
Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember,
the Lord is coming soon. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray
about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can
understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ
Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix
your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and
lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of
praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received
from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace
will be with you.
Philippians 4: 5-9 NLT
feel
Angry:
My
dear friends, you should be quick to listen and slow to speak or to get
angry. If you are angry, you cannot do any of the good things that
God wants done. You must stop doing anything immoral or evil.
Instead be humble and accept the message that is planted in you to save you. Obey God's message! Don't fool yourselves by just listening to it. If you hear the message and don't obey it, you are like people who
stare at themselves in a mirror and forget what they look like as
soon as they leave. But you must never stop looking at the perfect
law that sets you free. God will bless you in everything you do, if you
listen and obey, and don't just hear and forget. If you think you
are being religious, but can't control your tongue, you are fooling
yourself, and everything you do is useless. Religion that pleases
God the Father must be pure and spotless. You must help needy orphans and
widows and not let this world make you evil.
James
1: 19-27 CEV
feel
Depressed:
I asked the LORD for help, and he saved
me from all my fears. Keep your eyes on the LORD! You will shine like the
sun and never blush with shame. I was a nobody, but I prayed, and the LORD
saved me from all my troubles. If you honor the LORD, his angel will protect
you. Discover for yourself that the LORD is kind. Come to him for
protection, and you will be glad. Psalm 34: 4-8 CEV
feel
Discouraged:
Why am I so sad?
Why am I so upset? I
should put my hope in God
and keep praising him, my
Savior and my God. I am very sad.
So I remember you where the
Jordan River begins, near
the peaks of Hermon and Mount Mizar.
Troubles have come again and again, sounding like waterfalls.
Your waves are crashing all around me.
The Lord shows his true love every day. At
night I have a song,
and I pray to my living God.
Psalm
42: 5-8 NCV
are
Tempted:
God blesses those who patiently endure testing and
temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has
promised to those who love him. And remember, when you are being
tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do
wrong, and
he never tempts anyone else. Temptation comes from our own
desires, which entice us and drag us away. These desires give
birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to
death.
James1:
12-15 NLT
need
God’s Forgiveness:
Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins.
Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin.
For I recognize my rebellion; it
haunts me day and night.
Against you, and you alone, have I sinned; I
have done what is evil in your sight. You
will be proved right in what you say, and
your judgment against me is just.
For I was born a sinner — yes, from the moment my mother conceived me.
But you desire honesty from the womb, teaching me wisdom even there.
Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
Oh, give me back my joy again; you
have broken me — now
let me rejoice.
Don’t keep looking at my sins. Remove the stain of my guilt.
Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.
Do not banish me from your presence, and
don’t take your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and
make me willing to obey you.
Psalm 51: 1-12 NLT
need
Knowledge:
Cry out for wisdom,
and beg for understanding.
Search for it like silver,
and hunt for it like hidden treasure.
Then you will understand respect for the Lord,
and you will find that you know God.
Only the Lord gives wisdom; he
gives knowledge and understanding.
Proverbs
2: 3-6 NCV
need
Happiness:
Praise the Lord! How
joyful are those who fear the Lord and
delight in obeying his commands.
Their children will be successful everywhere; an
entire generation of godly people will be blessed.
They themselves will be wealthy, and
their good deeds will last forever.
Psalm 112: 1-3 NLT
need
a New Beginning:
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and
believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with
God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.
As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be
disgraced.” Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They
have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him.
